Produktinfos
You are purchasing an original Eberspächer external temperature sensor for air heaters for the interior
- for a more precise control of the desired room temperature -
Article number: 25 1774 89 03 00
Suitable for Eberspächer air heaters Airtronic D2, D3, D4, D4 Plus, D5
Cable harness: 2 meters
surface-mounted installation
Using the external control sensor for precise room temperature control:
The Airtronic air heaters have an integrated temperature sensor for recording the actual value. This sensor is located on the integrated control unit and thus just behind the heating air inlet of the heater. The measured temperature value (actual value) is required by the control unit for room temperature control (target/actual value comparison). The operator of the heating system specifies the target value via the control element.
Depending on the installation location of the heater or the location of the hot air intake, it may be necessary to replace the internal control sensor with an external one.
Examples include:
The heating air is sucked in from the area of the vehicle's step (no room reference temperature).
The heating air is sucked in from a box (delayed reference temperature).
The heater draws in the air to be heated from outside the vehicle (fresh air mode).
Failure to observe this will result in delayed or no regulation of the heating system!
The external sensor should be installed freely (not in boxes), not in the warm air flow and not under the vehicle ceiling. Direct sunlight should also be taken into account if necessary. The external sensor is electrically connected to the cable harness to the control unit. This automatically deactivates the internal sensor. This means that retrofitting is also possible without great effort.
